Why this blog, now?
For years I have wanted to have an outlet; a way to get information out into the world, into my community. Writing, is informative and instead of writing each and everyone nearly the same information over and over, a journal or blog, helps to get the main points and general information out to you all. Also, it allows more time for the specific more detailed questions. And, I hope that it brings you all just a little closer. I hope that you feel more comfortable to reach out to me; to ask me questions and help me to better understand your concerns.
The now, is more about the change in our paper news. As many may remember, we had a Dispatch Local paper that came out every Thursday. It was called “This Week Community News”, and it served each of the central Ohio communities. They produced their last paper, January 26, 2023. So, without our local, weekly updates, I believe that it critical that information still be shared.
ThisWeek Community News has been publishing hyperlocal news stories and high school sports in central Ohio since 1989, according to the publication’s Facebook page.
I approach this blog, as I would approach a journalist career. I strive for unbiased, fact-based information. I will try to cover as many topics as I can in the coming posts, but if there is an item that is very important to you, please reach out to me to see if I can cover it for you.
